Stone Fireplaces

Pioneer Fireplaces

There is no substitute for a stone fireplace. The Pioneers used them out of necessity for heating and cooking. Every pioneer had one and a cabin in the woods is not complete without one. Imagine sitting in front of your big stone fireplace with a crackling fire sending an orange glow into the room. We use the Count Rumford fireplace design that is centuries old, and it still is the most efficient known design for a firebox and throat. We can build the Big ones for cooking with a four foot wide by four-foot tall firebox. We can also build the small ones for heating a single room.
